Stella Maxwell brought supermodel glamour to the late evening Cannes Film Festival premiere of ‘The Idol’ on Monday.
For this Atelier Versace Spring 2023 gown, the label blends the signature safety-pin with a glamorous ‘90s aesthetic.
The wrap design and cut-out detail add a bold appeal to the piece, while the safety-pin – which was originally inspired by the punk subculture – is giving me plenty of nostalgic vibes.
Liz Hurley’s Versace safety-pin dress gave the impression it was only fastened with huge golden safety pins, on this gown they were more sporadic.
Some might feel that this doesn’t work for Cannes Film Festival, and that it’s too moody for the summer event, but I would only agree if she had worn it for the afternoon premiere.
