Aside from Rihanna and Florence Pugh, Pierpaolo Piccioli dressed six more celebrities in Valentino for the 2023 Met Gala.
None shun more brightly than Viola Davis wore a pink (yes, PP Pink) Valentino gown especially designed for her by Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli.
I know there are many of you who still have PP Pink fatigue, but if there was one person who could breathe new life into this hue it was Viola.
Seeing the dress decked out with ton-sur-ton feather embroidery made this look even more special.
For me, this look was one of the best looks on the night.
Pedro Pascal’s sense of adventure when it comes to his newfound iconic status as a red carpet style star hit a new heights at this event.
One look at the actor in this Valentino Fall 2023 red overcoat and shorts from the Black Tie collection was enough to send twitter into overdrive.
I don’t know if it’s the schoolboy charm, or the fact that it was a risk that paid off. Handsomely.
Stephanie Hsu also had the honour of Pierpaolo Piccioli designing a Valentino gown especially for her.
The designer used his creative intellect to design a look that paid homage to Karl Lagergeld, while still incorporating the Valentino house codes.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas were matching to show their union as husband and wife wearing Karl Lagerfeld’s favourite colour combination: black and white.
While Nick’s look hails from the Valentino Fall 2023 Black Tie collection, Priyanka’s custom look followed the blueprint for what I believe is a successful Priyanka Chopra look; keeping things simple.
The Bollywood star styled her look with Bulgari jewels and those platforms.
Labrinth had the Met Gala at 6pm, and a parachute jump at 8pm if the harnesses on his Valentino Fall 2023 Black Tie collection look are anything to go by.
