Catherine, Princess of Wales Wore Alexander McQueen To The 2023 Royal Ascot

Catherine Princess of Wales red dress

Catherine, Princess of Wales and William, Prince of Wales, made their first appearance at the 2023 Royal Ascot, where they took part in the traditional carriage procession with the King and Queen.

There were several racegoers, but all eyes would have been on Catherine, as she wore one of her boldest looks yet to the annual event.

In 2017 she wore a subdued white lace Alexander McQueen dress, in 2019 she made my dreams come true wearing a pale blue Elie Saab dress, and in 2022 – before she became the polka dot Princess – the then duchess wore Alessandra Rich.

But this year she stunned everyone wearing a red Alexander McQueen dress styled with a matching Philip Treacy hat and Gianvito Rossi pumps.

This is really all about the colour, and the energy it gives to her bubbly personality.

The gold embellished Sezane earrings were a fun addition, but I wasn’t sold on the dark red Hermès Rio H clutch, as it added a fall element to the look, which I’m desperate for celebrities to step away from this summer.

Thoughts?
