Front Row @ Paul Smith Men's Spring 2024

Taking the suit as both its starting and ending point – much like menswear itself – Paul Smith’s men’s presentation explored tailoring in all its forms for Spring 2024.

The collection, which nods to Paul Smith’s pieces from the archive, subverts classic menswear tropes and references workwear and military uniforms, took place during Paris Men’s Fashion Week with guests included Ismael Cruz Córdova, Matt Smith, Ben Attal, Twins Habdan, and Richard Biedul.

Ismael Cruz Córdova does love a graphic print look, so I wasn’t surprised to see him select this painterly print Paul Smith Spring 2024 coat, and the matching trousers.

Heavy shoes aside, I prefer his dynamic look over both looks we saw on the runway.  Ismael has the charisma to pull this off.

I was kinda disappointed by Matt Smith.

He does look great, and there has to be one person who showcases the minimalist side to a label, but I prefer when Matt showcases more flair.

The most exciting thing about this look, is the signature Paul Smith printed lining on the blazer.

Charlotte Gainsbourg’s son, actor Ben Attal also served up the more classic side to Paul Smith’s designs.

Twins Habdan wore the Paul Smith fade stripe print wool blazer and matching trousers featuring graffiti-inspired pops of colour, which we first saw on Orlando Bloom during Cannes Film festival.

I love how the v-neck top made Richard Biedul’s Paul Smith check suit feel more contemporary, and I’m thoroughly intrigued by his flats.
