When Hailey Bieber got her bob cut, the style quickly became one of the year’s most popular hair trends: blunt and super low-maintenance. The model and beauty founder has worn it variously sleek and smooth, wet-look, and with lots of salty, beachy texture. But just because she sets trends doesn’t stop Bieber looking to others for inspiration from time to time.

New snaps that Bieber posted on Instagram find her posing in an effortless Cali-girl look. Wearing ripped jean shorts, loafers, and a black boob tube, she paired her low-key ensemble with a haircut reminiscent of another famous Gen Z’er: Zendaya.
The voluminous bob, swept to one side, was akin to the style Zendaya has worn a lot, including at a Euphoria event in Los Angeles at the end of last year and while out and about in London with her boyfriend, Tom Holland. While Zendaya’s hair is naturally curlier in texture than Hailey’s, the volume and shape of their respective bobs feel similar.
