John Boyega Wore LaQuan Smith, 'They Cloned Tyrone'

After being “the grey man” during menswear fashion week, John Boyega served up a trio of new looks, and colours, while promoting ‘They Cloned Tyrone,’ proving that the actor was taking notes from the front row.

For the ‘They Cloned Tyrone’ LA premiere, John wore a LaQuan Smith Fall 2023 tailored suit styled with a chiffon blouse.

If you were worried that the actor was wearing a car wash skirt, you’ll be glad to know that what you see are the details from the undone necktie.

The flares were a perfect nod to the ‘70s era of this Blaxploitation-inspired film, but when it comes to the length, they were too long.

Christian Louboutin Amiralo patent leather boots completed his look.

I much prefer John’s second look worn for his guest appearance on ‘The Today Show’ on Thursday (June 29).

Mostly because I prefer the actor in bold colours, and because this Versace Fall 2023 brown crocodile embossed leather heritage shirt reminds me of a scene from ’Rush Hour 2,’ where Detective James Carter (Chris Tucker) – who was also in Versace – wore a similar look.

Instead of rocking a full crocodile suit, John wore another pair of wide-leg trousers which were perfectly tailored.

This time the ‘70s mood was carried through the brown terracotta hue, and the Versace Greca sunglasses.

Versace squared loafer mules completed the look.

Making it a trio of wide-leg trousers, I love how John opted for yellow, considering the striped Gabriela Hearst Fall 2023 polo knit was styled with brown trousers in the look book.

This instantly made John’s look feel summerier, in tune, and consistent with his ‘70s theme.
