Princess Kate has been especially active lately in promoting charities and non-profit organizations that promote childhood well-being, such as her June 15 visit to the Riversley Park Children’s Centre in Nuneaton, and her visit to the Windsor Family Hub on June 6. It’s also fair to say that the Hope Street initiative is in line with Prince William’s recent charitable efforts to combat homelessness, which he is promoting with a new program called Homewards.
It is also not the first time the princess has lent support to incarcerated individuals. In 2015, Kate visited inmates at a women’s prison, per People. Upon reconnecting with the women in 2020, she said speaking with them actually helped inspire her current dedication to the importance of early life for all people. “It really shocked me when I came here last time how early the challenges were that you faced,” she reportedly told the women. “I’m hugely passionate about trying to really help get into this crisis trying to help provide that prevention mechanism and that support system in our communities. Particularly that support in the early years of life.”
With this visit to Hope Street, it looks like Kate Middleton is a princess as good as her word.
