Margot Robbie attended the press junket and photocall for ‘Barbie’ held at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills on Sunday (June 25).
I was happy to see Margot continue to give us Barbiecore looks, wearing a pink polka dot custom Valentino mini cut-out dress.
What was the inspiration?
Well, it was two-fold, according to her stylist Andrew Mukamal’s Instagram stories.
In the first instant, it was Barbie herself, right down to the shoes and yellow bag, and in the second, it was a halter neck dress from the Valentino Spring 1993 collection which was worn by supermodel Karen Mulder.
I was hopeful that we would get fun looks like this, but then I expected them to trail off the close we got to the premiere, but it looks like going the literal Barbie route is still very much part of the prom tour wardrobe, and I couldn’t be happier about it.
