Zendaya flew into Rome for the opening of the Bulgari Hotel Roma yesterday, but her gown got lost in transit. The Euphoria actor explained on Instagram that she was left with just one hour to find an alternative outfit—but the star and her “image architect” Law Roach certainly rose to the challenge.
“When in doubt…a @maisonvalentino suit :),” Zendaya told fans on Instagram, safely on the other side of her fashion emergency. She opted for a chic black trouser suit speckled with silver flecks, which beautifully mirrored the Bulgari silver and diamond earrings, rings, and bracelet the ambassador of the fine jewelry house had selected for the event.

Perhaps the most notable part of the look, however, is the black fishnet top Zendaya wore underneath. A string vest is an unlikely red-carpet choice, yet the metallic thread makes it evening-appropriate. The fine jewelry, classic black court shoes, and Old Hollywood hairstyle also help to amp up the glamour of this raver mesh top that could easily look more Berlin warehouse party than Bulgari cocktail.
