The Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda 2023 show was held at Alberobello on Sunday (July 9) in Puglia, Italy, with an expected A-list front row.
Considering that Kim Kardashian has worn quite a bit of her Spring 2023 collection with Dolce & Gabbana, I was expecting a custom look.
I don’t know about you, but I felt that this dramatic plum taffeta cape draped over a DNA lingerie bodysuit was so refreshing, considering Kim has worn tight fitted dresses for…well, forever.
We have been crying out for something new in terms of style and silhouette and finally, she delivered.
A Dolce & Gabbana white gold necklace and “Rubellite” tourmaline and diamond chandelier earrings completed her look.
Anitta is the only one who truly understood this weekend’s assignment, and I’m not really surprised.

Helen Mirren looked beautiful once again wearing a custom red chiffon Dolce & Gabbana gown, but the story of her weekend has really been her jewelry.
In this case I’m completely enamoured by her supremely elegant necklace in white and yellow gold which is distinguished by the preciousness of the gemstones and sophistication of Dolce & Gabbana’s jewelry making techniques.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is known for her minimalism, so I was kinda surprised to see her at this event.
However, she stayed on brand wearing a custom Dolce & Gabbana chiffon draped bra inspired by the Spring 1999 collection, along with a crystal tasseled marquisette skirt.
A mini Dolce & Gabbana Sicily bag was the go-to accessory at this event.
While Kerry Washington’s first look had her still in vacation mode, she dialled things up for the main event wearing a custom Dolce & Gabbana black column gown embroidered with Swarovski crystals recreating a classic lace motif.
Her magnificent necklace – set in yellow and white gold with “Rubellite” tourmalines, yellow sapphires, rubies, diamonds, pearls, moonstone, micro mosaic and coins – pays tribute to the solemn dignity of the ancient world through complex iconography and impeccable goldsmithing.
This might be my favourite jewelled piece of the weekend.
Angela Bassett’s custom Dolce & Gabbana column dress embroidered with squared sequins with a 3D finish, and accented with a bronze chiffon draped detail, was inspired by a Grecian goddess.
Her dress was stunning, but the jewels were exquisite, along with a gold Dolce & Gabbana filigrine bag enriched with rubies and emeralds.
James Marsden’s Dolce & Gabbana custom blue double-breasted suit styled with a white knitted cotton short-sleeve jumper, needed a pair of shoes in a slightly lighter colour.
When it comes to Venus Williams in this Dolce & Gabbana pink lace gown, I can’t get past the hair.
Lucien Laviscount appeared to only change this shirt from the previous event.
Opting for white continued to highlight his tan.
Alessandra Ambrosio and sheer gowns are no stranger to each other, but I love how the embroidered gold cape gave this a different look and feel.

The actor styled his white lace kimono pajama set, with a white and yellow gold necklace from a limited-edition jewelry collection made with citrines, light blue sapphires, and diamonds.
Leonie Hanne’s Dolce & Gabbana column dress fully embroidered with crystals was inspired by the closing look of the Fall 2023 fashion show.
She completed the look with silk black gloves and a crystal mesh choker.
