Then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge introduce their son to the world in 2013.

Happy birthday to Prince George of Wales, who turns 10 on July 22. To mark the occasion, Kate Middleton and Prince William have released a charming new photo of their eldest son.

Taken in Windsor earlier this month, the picture shows Prince George smiling for the camera, smartly dressed in a miniature version of an outfit that could have been taken straight from his father’s wardrobe. It was taken by Millie Pilkington, the photographer who took private photos of the Prince and Princess of Wales on their wedding day and is now trusted to take photos of their children.

This weekend marks a decade since the Prince and Princess of Wales—then-Duke and Duchess of Cambridge—delighted the world by announcing the birth of their first child, Prince George Alexander Louis. It was historic: Queen Elizabeth II had lived to see the birth of three generations of direct heirs: her son, now King Charles III, grandson Prince William, and great-grandson Prince George. The last time this happened was during the reign of Queen Victoria.

Prince George was christened in October 2013 with the Duke of Westminster and Zara Tindall among the godparents. Together with his brother Prince Louis and sister Princess Charlotte, Prince George spent the early part of his childhood in London. Last year, the Prince and Princess of Wales moved their family to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor Home Park.
