Kylie Minogue Announces Her Las Vegas Residency Wearing Mugler by Casey Cadwallader

Kylie Minogue announced her first residency in Las Vegas on Thursday (July 27) in LA.

The Australian singer will begin a three-month stint at the Venetian’s Voltaire nightclub from November 3, 2023, which is her first professional return to North America since 2011.

In the news conference Kylie said, “I’ve performed a couple of times at Vegas, but as part of a tour, and particularly when I did the Showgirl tour in 2004 – at that time we said, ‘oh, this feels like a Vegas show’.”

However, this show will be much smaller than the usual Las Vegas shows in a 1,000-seat venue to give fans a more personal experience, where Kylie will perform many of her greatest hits including, ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head,’ ‘Spinning Around’ and ‘Better The Devil You Know,’ alongside tracks from her forthcoming album ‘Tension.’

No doubt the costumes will be elaborate, over-the-top, and potentially rock-and-roll inspired considering Kylie is now working with the same stylist as Miley Cyrus.

But for the press conference Kylie wore a Mugler by Casey Cadwallader black sheer gathered dress.

Casey Cadwallader is known for his futuristic slant on sultry silhouettes for Mugler, and this midi dress was no exception.

I love the nod to the Mugler archives with the points on the bodice.

I have said many times that the key to the success of a sheer look is what is worn underneath.

My guess is that Kylie is wearing a SKIMS-like strapless shortie bodysuit which was a match to her skin tone, allowing Mugler’s illusion of illusion to shine through.

Maison Ernest Moon strappy pumps completed her look.

Tickets for Kylie’s Las Vegas show at Voltaire are set to go on sale on 9 August.
