Ava DuVernay attended the 2023 SCAD Savannah Film Festival on Thursday (October 28) in Georgia, where she presented her new film, ‘Origin.’
You may be surprised to learn that the director was wearing a look from Mônot, because we are used to seeing barely-there dresses, or dresses with major cut-outs from the label.
I mean, can you recall a Mônot dress with sleeves, let alone a high neckline?
What I love about Ava’s styling of this dress, is the panel added to what was Mônot’s signature hip-high slit, transforming this dress into a colour block dress.
Never has a modification worked so perfectly in favour of the wearer.
