I always assumed that trompe-loeil was quite a simple thing to achieve, but the label shared that it took six layers of entirely hand-stitched tulle to achieve a draping mimicking the highlights and shadows of a greco-roman statue.
Some might feel that the trompe-loeil of the greco-roman statue is lost on the two-pieces appearing further apart than they did on the runway, but I feel that the look still achieves it’s goal, along with making a strong visible impact for her TV show appearance.
