Kim Kardashian attended her Swarovski x SKIMS celebration held at the new Swarovski Flagship on Tuesday (November 7) in New York City.
It looks like the Marilyn Monroe era is over, with Kim informing us that diamonds are a girl’s best friend, as she was decked out in Swarovski crystals, wearing a custom couture two-piece designed by Swarovski’s Creative Director, Giovanna Engelbert.
Despite the Swarovski x SKIMS cotton rib boxers being completely sold out, Kim couldn’t resist a cheeky moment to promote the collection.
Keeping the same hairstyle from the CFDA Fashion Awards (I remember the days when I used to sleep with my head off the side of the bed to preserve a hairstyle I loved), the SKIMS founder completed her look with a pair of glass (PVC) sandals.
Not inspired by Marilyn Monroe, not a tight fitted dress, and no Balenciaga label.
Could the tide be turning?
We’ve had many false dawns, so I will say that this change of pace is for one night only.
Personally I really like this. And even if you don’t feel the same, you have to agree that this is event appropriate.
