Blake Lively hosted a reception at The Whitby Hotel in New York City on Friday (December 15), where the actresses, Alexis Bledel, and Amber Tamblyn celebrated ‘Barbie’ star America Ferrera, who received the CCA Groundbreaker Award.
We could also call this what it was, a ‘Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants’ cast reunion.
I can’t believe the film was 17 years ago, which makes me feel old.
Alexis Bledel wore a slinky red dress.
Amber Tamblyn was in Barbiecore mode wearing a pink suit.
The lady of the hour, America Ferrera wore an Elie Saab Resort 2024 cream draped, long sleeve mini dress.
But it was Blake Lively who stole the show emphasising the phrase, the hostess with the mostess, because she was doing the most.
And I can’t say I’m mad at it, as seasoned overdresser myself, especially as Blake’s look was very much on theme.
I mean, how can you host a Barbie event without wearing pink?
I love how channelled her inner Barbie doll matching her Oscar de la Renta Marabou feathered mini dress with Malone Souliers Joella satin mules, satin gloves, a bow accented Judith Leiber clutch and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
It’s a lot, but it’s all good.
I wasn’t that excited about Blake’s Chanel and Michael Kors Collection recent looks, but this is the Blake Lively I know and love.
