Cardi B and Offset have called it quits after wedding privately in 2017. Over the weekend, the Grammy winner revealed the news on Instagram Live.
“I’ve been single for a minute now,” she told followers, per a clip of the livestream shared on X. “But I have been afraid… not afraid, I just don’t know how to tell the world. But I feel like today has been, like, a sign.”
The rapper added that she has been waffling over the right moment to tell fans. Her recent activity on the platform, however, may have clued in inquiring minds. Prior to formally announcing the split, the pair unfollowed each other on Instagram last week. Shortly thereafter, she also made some cryptic posts about outgrowing relationships and putting yourself first.
“I don’t know if you guys have been getting clues from me, from my Lives, or from my Stories, when I put some certain music, or find my unfollowings,” she acknowledged.
Both Cardi B and Offset—who share 5-year-old daughter Kulture—made appearances at the TikTok in the Mix music festival in Mesa, Arizona on Sunday night, but, notably, the two weren’t photographed together at the event.
