Jennifer Lopez attended Elle’s 2023 Women in Hollywood celebration held at Nya Studios in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday (December 5).
The singer-actress has served up many jaw-dropping looks over the years, but the breastplate trend isn’t one I ever expected to see from her.
Our most recent sighting of a breastplate on the red carpet was courtesy Beyonce which covered her whole breasts, whereas Jennifer took the trend a bit further with this cropped silver version from the Grace Ling Spring 2024 collection.
At first, I thought the backless piece was hanging from her neck, but it’s actually attached to the shoulder straps which are holding up the rest of her dress.
It’s quite a risqué look in terms of having to remember to not move your arms too far away from your body to prevent a wardrobe malfunction, but if Jennifer can wear a Versace deep v-neck jungle print dress without that happening, I’m sure she can navigate this cropped breastplate.
