'The Color Purple' Cast Light the Empire State Building

Oprah Winfrey and the cast of ‘The Color Purple’ – Danielle Brooks, Taraji P. Henson, Fantasia Barrino and Blitz Bazawule – lit up the Empire State Building in celebration of the film’s premiere on Tuesday (December 12) in New York City.

Danielle Brooks couldn’t resist a purple layer, while Taraji P. Henson should have taken off one layer, namely the belt, as it feels a little unnecessary with this Max Mara Fall 2023 cable knit dress and coat (unless it’s holding up her coat), plus it is giving me seat belt vibes.

Fantasia Barrino returned to her first love – Dolce & Gabbana – wearing a faux fur trimmed coat with a stunning floral applique skirt.

In case we needed the label confirmation, the actress styled her look with a pair of DG logo leather quilted gloves.

Oprah Winfrey continued to be consistent with a purple look, but on this occasion all eyes were on her stunning Oscar de la Renta ombré sequinned coat.

Jacob & Co. earrings provided the finishing touch.

Blitz Bazawule made it a trio of purple looks with plenty of flare.
