Which Margot Robbie 'Barbie' Promo Tour Look Was Your Favourite?

It’s ten days before Christmas, so I think it is now safe to assume that there won’t be anymore ‘Barbie’ activity.

Starting from her CinemaCon Prada look back in April, we had reason to be excited about this tour, especially since Margot had enlisted a new stylist – Andrew Mukamal – who created one of the best promo tours I have seen to date.

Some of you felt that this tour was too on the nose, but I don’t believe you can do justice to the film, or the character, without going there.

And go there she did, with modern interpretations of classic Barbie dolls, which was inspired, along with Manolo Blahnik mules which paid homage to Barbie’s arched feet.

The film was always going to do well at the box office, but I strongly believe that the promo tour helped push this film into making over a billion dollars.

It’s a shame that the tour was cut short with major cities – Paris and Tokyo – never getting to witness the Barbie experience.

Margot’s Prada look worn to 2023 Gotham Awards was originally meant for the Tokyo premiere which never took place because of the strike.

I wonder how many other looks we never got to see.

Perhaps we will get that chance come awards season.

I was going to split this into premieres and press conferences/photocalls, but I really wanted to see all the looks together, and I know in some instances many of you preferred the non-premiere looks.

You won’t be surprised that I can’t pick one favourite.

My top three are the Prada from CinemaCon. The striped Hervé Léger for the Icebergs Bondi press conference and the Schiaparelli Haute Couture dress for the LA premiere.

Stylist: Andrew Mukamal.
