Blake Lively met bestie Taylor Swift for slices Brooklyn, irrefutably proving that stars really are just like us. On Wednesday evening, the gal pals linked up to attend a private party at the buzzy pizza restaurant Lucali. But the two dressed very differently for the occasion.
Lively showed up in a brown suede circle skirt with a thigh-baring slit and a pair of orange platform pumps with metallic gold statement heels. The actor matched her shoes to a blousy orange, yellow, and black striped sweater that was cleverly French-tucked to showcase her skirt’s built-in belt. She accessorized the dinner-date look with a chunky gold chain necklace and bracelet, a few cocktail rings, and a Louis Vuitton Capucines BB Ecru Jaune handbag. It was a weather-defying ’fit to be sure, given the windy 40-degree weather in New York City lately.
Swift, on the other hand, opted for a Reputation-coded ensemble comprising a green crushed-velvet dress and thigh-high boots from Jimmy Choo’s collaboration with Jean Paul Gaultier, which are wrapped with “tattoos” of snakes.

Blake Lively recently credited her mom. Elaine Lively, as the inspiration for her maximalist personal style. “I would like to replace the term ’hoarder’ in favor of ‘maximalist.’ It makes me feel better. Wonder where I get it from…,” the actor captioned an Instagram selfie in which both she and Elaine are pictured wearing heaps of Tiffany diamond necklaces and bracelets.
