‘Barbie’ director Greta Gerwig had an amazing promo, which continued into the start of 2024, but the wheels fell off when she graced the red carpet for the Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday.
Molly Goddard isn’t an easy designer to wear at the best of times, but when wearing a dress layered and shaped like this, you’re kinda asking for trouble.
What might have been seen as an edgy move by her stylist, didn’t translate into reality.
Some will say that this has been coming, but I was remaining optimistic especially considering the high expectations set by her previous promotional appearances.
Even the bright red Tyler Ellis Veronica clutch couldn’t salvage the look which we will file in the Bed Sheet Couture file of 2024.
Damn shame. But I’m still rooting for Greta.
