This week, Loewe announced actor Jamie Dornan as their newest global brand ambassador.
The actor, who is known for his acclaimed film and television roles, who featured in the label’s Fall 2023 campaign, will also feature in the upcoming Spring 2024 men’s runway collection campaign photographed by David Sims which will launch on 12 January.
Creative director Jonathan Anderson said, “Having watched many of Jamie’s films and following his work closely, he was front of mind when we were thinking about a new ambassador for LOEWE. I’ve always liked how his performances embody a sense of strength that feels very pure and organic.”
Jamie Dornan says: “Nothing puts you at ease like being around people who understand your humour, your accent, and your ethos. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with Jonathan—he’s supremely talented, creative, and incredibly.”
I know what you are thinking, “are we going to see Jamie in this Simon Cowell inspired high-waisted trousers?”
I don’t see Jamie doing a Kit Connor or an Omar Apollo who both rocked the embellished high-waisted trousers on the red carpet, but I’m sure they will feature in the campaign, as they made up the majority of the presentation.
But when it comes to the red carpet, I would guess that Jamie’s red carpet Loewe looks will take the Josh O’Connor route of being custom classics, which will show another side to the label.
I will be thoroughly intrigued if I am totally wrong, with Jamie surprising us with a runway look for his next red carpet appearance.
