Kingsley Ben-Adir stars as Marley in the ‘Bob Marley: One Love’ film which has premiered both in London and Kingston, Jamaica.
For both occasions, the British actor wore custom Gucci tonal looks.
Once upon a time, wearing the same hue – or variations of it – from head-to-toe was seen as an overly simplistic way of dressing.
But as we have seen in recent times, tonal dressing, when done right, is about mixing up textures or the same tones that were made to sit alongside each other.
Kingsley has gone for the latter for both premieres.
London Premiere
Last night the actor wore all black, but the mood was not sombre, as his three piece suit, styled with a gold Gucci pin and Gucci Horsebit loafers, showcased a high level of sophistication with the soft tailoring representing a contemporary feel to classic formalwear.
Kingsley has made Gucci loafers with white socks his thing. It’s not a look I usually gravitate towards, but in this suit, I would love just about any footwear choice.
Kingston Premiere
The actor stepped away from his favourite colour black with this custom Gucci camel coloured suit.
This time the actor rocked a pair of burgundy Gucci Horsebit loafers without socks as the temperatures in Kingston were considerably warmer than London.
Even with the socks and the copy and paste design of of the suit from Kingston, I’m mesmerised by the London look.
It feels so clean, modern and fresh.
