It really is Ayo Edebiri’s year, as ‘The Bear’ actress collected the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for ‘The Bear,’ at the 2024 SAG Awards, making it a clean sweep this awards season.
The actress had a glamour moment at the BAFTAs. It was cute, but not really on brand for Ayo – which was surprising considering Bottega Veneta has been a good label for her.
I was much more excited about Ayo in this checked gown from Luar’s Fall 2023 collection, as this took me back to her early days on the red carpet, when she wore up-and-coming labels, and was more experimental with her style, which is why we fell in love with her – that, and her talent.
I love how this dress deconstructs traditional tailoring serving up avant-garde flair which was both chic and dramatic.
I want more of this energy going forward.
