The American Cinematheque Awards annually honours an extraordinary artist in the entertainment industry who is fully committed to making a significant contribution to the art of the motion pictures.
This year the honour was bestowed upon British actress Dame Helen Mirren, who attended the ceremony in Beverly Hills on Thursday.
Helen is very much a Dolce devotee, and she is also a woman who loves bold hues, which is why I was surprised to see her wearing this black suit from Saint Laurent’s Spring 2022 collection.
Saint Laurent has been synonymous with the blazer, using it as the ultimate showpiece and that was true on this occasion. Not only for the exquisite tailoring, but also for the series of gold-tone buttons which adds a touch of artisanal elegance.
I’m not sure if this is the start of a new style chapter, or for one-night-only, but Helen looks incredible as always.
She really can do no wrong. I’m completely in awe.
