Kelly Rowland Wore Area & Baba Jagne To The 'Mea Culpa' New York Premiere

Kelly Rowland attended the Netflix’s premiere of her new film, ‘Mea Culpa’ held at the Paris Theater in New York City on Thursday.

We love the singer-actress for her sculptural gowns, but this is a steamy thriller, so her stylist Kollin Carter switched gears.

Because I know that so many of you love those big gown moments from Kelly, I’m not sure if this look will go down so well despite this Area Fall 2023 coats sleek hourglass construction boasting a structured silhouette, and a timeless feel thanks to the heritage checked pattern in understated tones.

You’ll either feel that:

  1. This look needed pants, and you’ll be wondering why Kelly is obsessed with the leotard look.
  2. Kelly should have worn the coat as presented on the runway as it was more alluring, or
  3. Love how Kelly made look this her own, and appreciate her stylist doing their job and styling the look, rather than just copying the runway styling.

I’m team number three.  I think the cinnamon Baba Jagne shirt and shorts elevated the contemporary moment, while separating her style between singer and actress.

Fishnet tights and Amina Muaddi shoes completed her look.

Stylist: Kollin Carter.
