On February 2, Gomez shared a glimpse an intimate moment with Benny Blanco to her Instagram Story. In the photo presumably captured by the music producer, Gomez sleeps curled up in bed with a fuzzy white blanket while soft morning light envelopes the room. “Mornings with you,” Gomez captioned the snap, tagging her boyfriend of roughly seven months.

Selena Gomez secretly dated her former collaborator for months before confirming the news with fans in the comments section of since-deleted Instagram post by @popfactions. Some fans were immediately critical of the relationship due to a comment Blanco made back in 2020. While promoting the Justin Bieber song “Lonely” on the Zach Sang Show, Blanco said, “Justin is not one of those, like, cookie-cutter pop artists; you know they’re, like, ‘This is my new single and here’s my makeup line.’”

Gomez, of course, owns the makeup company Rare Beauty. When a fan pointed out this apparent “shade” to Gomez, a pop star who owns a makeup company, the 31-year-old replied, “Yeah and he’s still better than anyone I’ve ever been with. Facts.”
