Beyoncé is in her cowgirl era, and she’s got a manicure to match. We’re just a few days out from the release of her forthcoming album, Cowboy Carter, and in true Virgo fashion, the musician has thought of every single detail, including her nails.
We couldn’t help but notice that she’s been particularly loyal to a certain Western-inspired nail art aesthetic throughout much of the Cowboy Carter rollout. We first saw the mani shortly after the Super Bowl, when she announced her singles “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages,” marking the beginning of Renaissance: Act II. Beyoncé paired them with black leather boots and a turquoise bolo tie, then with a sheer black lingerie-inspired ensemble.
The look in question is a twist on the classic French manicure, with bright white tips studded with teeny tiny silver and turquoise decals on each finger, similar to the popular Southwestern jewelry style. The nails were created by manicurist Miho Okawara, who calls them “Texan French” as a nod to Beyoncé’s Houston roots.
The turquoise-studded nails then made an appearance at the Luar show during New York Fashion Week in February, then again after the Oscars, and it seems she’s still loving it nearly a month later.
