Lupita Nyong’o was one of the guest presenters at the 2024 Oscars.
The last time we saw the actress in powder blue, deep v-gown, she was collecting her Best Actress Award in Prada exactly 10 years to the day.
Her stylist Micaela Erlanger shared on Instagram earlier today, “10 years ago. This woman, this dress, and this moment completely changed the course of my career. There is so much to reflect on … so many behind the scenes moments and stories leading up to this day. From the rounds of mood boards, sketches, swatches, fittings, and process. It was a journey. I knew from the start that our dress was very special in its simplicity, in its elegance, with the soft blue color and delicate beading. But I couldn’t even dream of that it would have the impact it did. What a privilege and honor it was then and continues to be now! I am so grateful to still be able to work with the people i love and to have deepened those relationships over the last decade: Lupita, Becca, Nick, Deb, Larry, Vernon, Prada, Verde, Francesco, Celine, Lily, Maria, Fred Leighton, Rebecca and Sally. Congratulations on 10 years of collaboration and dream work , i love you! 💫 “

On this occasion Lupita looked even more breath-taking wearing a custom Giorgio Armani Privé silk embroidered gown, embellished with crystal beading with feathers adding a more decadent and dramatic outlook.
