The (unusually named) baroque bob is having a moment—and what better poster girl for the viral haircut than Zendaya, the queen of looking excellent in everything she does? The star has been flying the flag for the bouncy, glamorous bob since the end of 2022. While many other celebrities were sporting blunt, short bobs at the time, hers was a breath of polished and old Hollywood-inspired fresh air.

Fast forward to March 2024 and she’s not said goodbye to the haircut that suits her so well. In fact, she took her baroque bob (and boyfriend, Tom Holland—the pair rarely make public appearances together) to the final day of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California to watch the tennis. The baroque is slightly longer than other types of bobs, and is predominantly defined by how it’s styled. It’s “all down to the blow dry and finish,” hairstylist Francesca Inverarity previously told Vogue. “It’s a simple but structured cut that is styled into voluminous sculpted waves.”

With her hair arranged into a deep side parting, Zendaya’s hair was full of volume, body and movement as she sat courtside. Paired with an off-duty Louis Vuitton cream tracksuit and white vest top, the hairstyle was all the polish and A-list glamour she needed at the event—who needs an elegant outfit when your hair does all the talking for you?
