Dua Lipa just stepped out in what we predict will be the trendy sneaker of summer 2024—and surprisingly, it doesn’t come from Adidas.
Now, any sneakerhead will know that Adidas has been dominating the streets for a while now. Last year fashion girlies everywhere from Sophie Turner to Hailey Bieber donned the retro Adidas Sambas. Earlier this year Emma Watson opted for a pair of chic Adidas Gazelles. And since January we’ve been predicting that either the Adidas Spezials (as seen on Dakota Johnson) or the Adidas Originals SL 72 (as worn by Bella Hadid) would be the next big thing in trainer fashion.
However, Dua Lipa just made the case for a new label altogether.

Last week the “Houdini” singer stepped out in London wearing a pair of black-and-white Puma Palermos. She paired the classic shoes with light-wash jeans and a maxi leather trench.
This is hardly the first time Lipa has opted for a pair of Pumas. Back in 2022 the singer released an entire collection of brightly colored sportswear in collaboration with the brand, and late last year Puma announced that Dua would be the face of the Palermo’s relaunch.
Four weeks ago, she showcased her pink pair of Palermos on Instagram, writing, “TRAINERS SEASON ❤️ Brits rehearsals in #pumapalermo.”
