The last time we saw Katie Holmes in denim on the red carpet for the iHeartRadio Z100s Jingle Ball back in 2022, we were less than impressed.
Some would say horrified, despite her stylist defending the look in the press.
The thing about denim dressing is, the trends are always in flux.
Waistlines rise and fall, as much as the leg lengths, and the silhouettes range from skinny to oversize, and then you have to choose which wash you prefer.
It’s become a mind field, so my current stance on denim is, “so long as it’s comfortable,” and looks chic of course.
Katie’s style both on and off the red carpet can be polarising at times, but I’m sure you are going to enjoy the ‘70s twist on double-denim served up in this Aria Italian denim vest and wide-leg trouser jeans from Banana Republic.
Even the styling is on par, with a selection of gold jewels, and Acne Studios Bladie loafers which have become her favourite footwear of choice while taking to the streets of Manhattan.
