Nicole Richie Wore Schiaparelli To The 'Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead' LA Premiere

Nicole Richie Wore Schiaparelli To The 'Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead' LA Premiere

I feel like Nicole Richie has been in a boho / maxi / vintage dress cycle for decades, so I was excited to see her select this mini Schiaparelli Spring 2024 dress for the Los Angeles premiere of ‘Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead’ held at The Grove on Tuesday.

Nicole had already undergone the first style evolution from her days as an overly-bronzed midriff-baring youngster.

Are we in style phase three?

Post awards season we could see a change of style direction for some celebrities if Katy Perry’s latest look is anything to go by.

Had it not been for the extravagance of a gilded brass neckline embellished with the signature eye motif, I would have struggled to identify this velvet mini dress.

The eye has been a key motif of Schiaparelli since 1937, which Daniel Roseberry has seamlessly incorporated into every collection to date, yet it doesn’t feel like a copy and paste as each version of the eye tells it own unique story.

With many expressing a dislike for the toe accented Schiaparelli footwear, you’ll be happy to see Nicole style her look with a simple pair of pumps, along with some complementary drop earrings.

Phoebe Dynevor has also worn this dress to a pre-BAFTA party during awards season.
