Daisy Ridley recently made a guest appearance on ‘The View’ to promote her new film, ‘Young Woman and The Sea,’ in which she portrays Gertrude Ederle, the first woman to successfully swim the English Channel.
On the show, Daisy emphasized the importance of telling Ederle’s story, highlighting her pioneering achievements in a male-dominated sport.
For her appearance, Daisy wore a Prada Fall 2024 high-neck dress adorned with white floral embroidery, a nod to the expected sea blue dresses on her press tour.
However, her choice of footwear was unexpected— as she paired the dress with edgy Prada boots.
While some brands require a full runway look, I have a feeling that this pairing was a deliberate choice by Daisy and her stylist rather than a mandate from Prada.
Though the boots might not have been everyone’s choice, they added a distinctive edge to the ensemble.
Given Daisy’s previous fashion choices, she clearly prefers not to match her shoes precisely to her dress.
From the knees up, the outfit was a perfect fit for the film’s theme and the summer season, and her sapphire earrings added a lovely finishing touch.
