Greta Gerwig BTS Looks From Cannes Film Festival

As I was stalking Karla Welch’s Instagram Stories during Cannes Film Festival, I soon discovered there were many more looks from Greta Gerwig which would normally go under the radar.

This look from Celine blended elements of androgyny and femininity. While rooted in menswear inspiration, this combination showcased nuanced details that brought a distinct feminine touch.

This Prada combination is a hallmark of Miuccia Prada’s personal style, reflecting her ability to blend practicality with bold fashion statements.

The clean, crisp cut striped shirt is a versatile and timeless piece. The skirt, on the other hand, was the focal point—featuring a bold print, that added a touch of flair.

Finishing off the look with sensible yet elegant Prada heels further emphasized the balance of practicality and sophistication.

These heels are stylish enough to complement the ensemble without overshadowing the statement skirt, aligning with Miuccia Prada’s preference for understated elegance.

Seeing Greta in this Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2024 Haute Couture dress was indeed a breathtaking moment.

The sheer tulle dress, accented with crystals, perfectly embodied the festive and glamorous spirit of the opening night party at Cannes.

While it might not have been showcased on the red carpet, its selection for the party was undeniably fitting.

The dress itself, with its delicate tulle and sparkling crystal embellishments, exudes a sense of whimsy and opulence.

It’s a piece that demands attention and exudes confidence, much like Greta herself in this picture.

Greta’s Dior look perfectly encapsulated the authoritative presence expected of a jury president while seamlessly incorporating feminine elements that added depth and elegance to the ensemble.

I didn’t think we would see those Loewe Fall 2024 sweet potato and radish harem trousers again so soon.

This issue we had with Emily Blunt’s look was that they appeared too big.

Size wise, they fit on this occasion, but I’m not sold on the tailcoat on the runway for Greta.

Loewe’s signature Toy pumps completed her look.

A shirt dress will always be a shortcut to chic, especially if you have the right accessories to sell the look.

Greta’s Armani suit undoubtedly evokes a powerful and polished aesthetic.

This final look sees Prada florals and utilitarian flair intertwined.
