Gucci Cruise 2025 collection, designed by Creative Director Sabato De Sarno will take place in London on May 13.
The story of Gucci started in London when a young Guccio Gucci took on a job as a porter and liftboy at The Savoy Hotel back in 1897. It was then that Guccio experienced up close the glitz and glamour of the international luminaries, indulging in their exquisite (and sometimes ostentatious) lifestyle.
His pursuit to make it big in the Big Smoke came in intangible ways — finding himself enriched with the 19th-century sense of taste. Inspired by these worldly cultural experiences and amalgamation, Guccio returned to Florence and founded his eponymous leather goods house in 1921 before opening the first Gucci store on the city’s Via della Vigna Nuova.
Going back to where it all began, Creative Director Sabato De Sarno is set to once again blow away fellow followers of the House with his visionary codes woven with Gucci’s storied legacy. This will also mark De Sarno’s first Cruise collection that follows his sophomore womenswear show in Milan Fashion Week for Autumn/Winter 2024.
Celebrating a profound legacy in the beating heart of London, the historic return back to the city represents Gucci’s profound connection to the British capital more than a century ago, intrinsically linked to the brand’s heritage. The city will play a pivotal role in shaping the narrative through the hands of Italian craftsmanship, creativity and innovation.
Stay tuned for Gucci Cruise 2025 show, taking place in London on 13 May 2024.
