Helen Mirren made a stunning first appearance on the red carpet during the 2024 Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of ‘The Most Precious of Cargoes’ this evening.
They say that purple is the most regal colour, and this was certainly true for Helen, who wore an exquisite Elie Saab Fall 2023 Haute Couture duchess satin gown which was fit for a queen.
Elie Saab’s design offered a masterclass in tailored details and opulent silhouettes, which perfectly complemented Helen’s poise and grace.
The British actress is typically seen in Dolce & Gabbana at this festival, so her choice to wear Elie Saab was a refreshing and successful departure.
This look undoubtedly deserves a spot on my growing list of favorites from this event, which serves to highlight Helen’s impeccable style and the timeless appeal of Elie Saab’s creations.
I don’t know about you, but I actually prefer this gown with sleeves.
