Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck rekindling their love after nearly two decades apart was one of the best love stories of our age, so great that Lopez self-funded a movie about it. Sadly, now there are divorce rumors. As with everything unconfirmed, take the following with several grains of salt, but here’s what’s been said so far.

The couple haven’t been seen in public together since March 30, 2024, when they were spotted house hunting in Manhattan; Affleck was notably absent from the carpet at the Met Gala, where Lopez was a co-chair (then again, Zendaya was a co-chair too, and her boyfriend Tom Holland didn’t come, and those two seem strong). A week later, on May 14, Lopez and her producing partner were photographed shopping for real estate in Beverly Hills without Affleck, and the Lopez-Affleck household already has a mansion in Los Angeles…

Then there’s the truly “who knows!” information from an unnamed “insider” talking to InTouch. In a May 15 article, the anonymous source said, “Ben already moved out and they’ll likely have to sell the dream house they spent two years searching for. They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her. There’s no way it could have lasted,” adding diplomatically, “They waited almost two decades to get back together, but in the end, they just couldn’t make it work…They both said they’d matured and learned from their mistakes, but some of the bigger issues that tore them apart the first time remained the same.”

In paparazzi photos from this same week, both Lopez and Affleck are seen wearing their wedding rings.

Seemingly the most recent Instagram post on Lopez’s page that included both Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck was a clip from her film, The Greatest Love Story Never Told, which is actually pretty cute and makes me want this to not be true.
