Lana Del Rey presented her usual haunting beauty on the red carpet for the 2024 Met Gala this evening where the theme was ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.’
The singer wore a custom Alexander McQueen by Seán McGirr gown which references the Alexander McQueen Fall 2006 collection replacing the antlered headdress for natural hawthorn branches from which the tulle veil fell.
Some might feel that the original rawness is missing, and I would also look at the actual dress and agree to a small degree, but because I’m getting the theatricality I love from McQueen, and considering the “Reawakening Fashion” title, of which look is layered with, I was sold on this look.
