Nathalie Emmanuel attended the midnight premiere for ‘Oh, Canada’ during the Cannes Film Festival on Friday evening.
I have been thoroughly enjoying her red carpet renaissance with Chanel, until this moment.
There are elements about this smoky-grey organza strappy dress from the Chanel Fall 2023 Haute Couture collection that I like: the neckline, the ruffles, and the colour.
But I’m struggling with how the amount of fabric and volume made this appear frumpy and boxy, which is unfortunate.
This is either a result of too many layers, or Nathalie should have dropped the waist as seen on the model.
Ultimately, this wasn’t her look, and two out of three should still be considered a successful Cannes experience for me.
