Nicole Kidman graced the red carpet at the 2024 Met Gala this evening with her husband Keith Urban, wearing her second custom Balenciaga gown in a row.
The ‘Reawakening Fashion’ theme saw Demna Gvasalia take inspiration from a 1951 Cristóbal design which had been selected by Nicole herself, even if your first thought was that this gown would have been a great option for Carey Mulligan’s award season arsenal of looks, because the British actress was also inspired by this era.
On the red carpet Nicole said, “I consider it a sleeping beauty that’s been brought back to life.”
I love how the train was extended for added drama and how the 50s vibe suits Nicole’s fashion sensibilities, and if there was any occasion to wear opera gloves, this was it.
