Miuccia Prada dressed eleven celebrities for the 2024 Met Gala on Monday, and while the design was light on the theme, there were some great looks on display.
Starting with Brie Larson, who got a Prada overlay dress again, but on this occasion her orange and copper gradient dress accented with embroidered degradè crystals, inspired by the Fall 2007 collection, paired with a cage dress in lilac crinoline inspired by the Fall 2024 collection, felt infinitely more modern.
Fred Leighton jewels and Prada gold sandals completed her look which was one of my favourites from the night.

Considering Damson Idris was just named as an ambassador for Tommy Hilfiger, I was kinda surprised to see him at the Prada table, but I’m not mad at all, when I see the effortless refinement of his tuxedo.
A Bulgari High Jewelry Serpenti brooch in yellow and white gold with 2 pear emeralds and a Bulgari Bvlgari watch completed his look.
Kaia Gerber, who was on loan from the House of Celine, looked beautiful wearing a Prada strapless dress featuring all-over embroidered white iridescent sequins inspired by the Fall 2011 collection, which was styled with Tiffany & Co. pendant, earrings and a ring in platinum with morganite and diamonds.
These scale-like features will always remind me of Marion Cotillard’s Jean Paul Gaultier Oscars gown.
The only thing I would change about this look was the hairstyle, as I found it aging.
Styled by Danielle Goldberg.
Aside from the hairband, I struggled to get onboard with Amanda Gorman’s Prada strapless gown.
I love how she stepped into the Elizabethan era amplified by this blue floral brocade fabric, but I found the dress itself unflattering overall.
I would have been on board with Troye Sivan’s Prada look inspired by the Fall 2008 collection, especially considering it was accented with a beautiful blue butterfly, but the double layered shirt looks like he has pulled his underpants up too high.
But judging by his Instagram post the following day, we got the tamer version.
Styled by Marc Forné.
I had the same, “one detail is throwing me off” feeling about Sarah Paulson’s crystal-embellished, bow accented Prada Fall 2024 gown – and that was the black back and train.
I liked this idea when Hong Chau presented her Prada gown at the 2023 Oscars as it was less busy. But it didn’t work as well for me here.
Styled by Karla Welch.
If there was one person who really leaned into theme of all these Prada looks, it was Amanda Seyfried who matched her hair to her Prada silver antique satin petal dress accented with black and pink floral crystal embroidery, inspired by the Spring 2009 collection.
Considering that her stylist is Elizabeth Stewart, you won’t be surprised that Amanda’s red carpet look was sustainable as it was made from leftover deadstock..

Jeff Goldblum is always good value for money, especially in Prada.
The Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany brooches and a Tiffany Cocktail Watch added to the theatrical nature of his Edwardian inspired look.
Styled by Andrew Thomas Vottero.
Harris Dickinson’s dark brown Prada suit would have flown under the radar at this event, had it not been for the green embroidered shirt.
Styled by Ben Schofield.
Tyler Mitchell went one better in his powder pink, floral appliqués shirt from the Prada Spring 2024 collection.
Dasha Zhukova looked every inch a European princess in her powder blue Prada column gown accented with crystal embellished trims.
Styled with a matching powder blue satin Prada minaudiere and silver sandals, the only thing that would have improved this look, is if she had arrived standing in one of those luxury buses rather than a limousine.
