At the world premiere of ‘In the Arena: Serena Williams’ during the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, Serena Williams wore a custom Dolce & Gabbana ensemble.
The outfit featured a silk duchess corset layered over a blush chiffon halter neck dress, complemented by matching Dolce & Gabbana satin sandals and Dolce & Gabbana Marlene clutch.
Given that the outfit was custom-made, it reflects the specific choices and preferences of either Serena Williams or her stylist.
Despite the bespoke nature of the ensemble, my overall impression is that the look feels too youthful and perhaps too twee for a grown woman, especially for someone with Serena’s commanding presence and stature.
The combination of the corset and the chiffon, along with the blush colour palette, may have aimed for a romantic or whimsical aesthetic, but ended up feeling somewhat juvenile.
