Comic-Con attendees were in for a surprise treat this year as Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and Emma Corrin graced the event for an unexpected and special opening night screening of their latest film, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’
It’s not uncommon for celebrities to make appearances at Comic-Con, but these visits usually precede the film’s release, serving as a teaser for what’s to come. For instance, the cast of ‘Barbie’ attended CinemaCon in April before their press tour kicked off in late June. However, given Comic-Con’s status as the ultimate celebration of comic book culture and fandom, the timing of this screening was impeccable, aligning perfectly with the film’s release.
Emma Corrin continued their flawless press tour streak wearing a Hodakova Fall 2024 black leather mini dress, crafted entirely from belts. This unique creation by designer Ellen Hodakova Larsson showcased Emma’s playful and conceptual style.
The dress, made from locally sourced belts in Sweden, is a testament to Hodakova’s commitment to sustainability and circular production. Each garment and accessory from Hodakova is created from existing materials, underscoring the designer’s vision of building the world’s first fully sustainable fashion house.
Hodakova’s ethos centers on the possibilities of circularity in fashion. The black leather mini dress worn by Emma exemplifies this philosophy, turning recycled belts into a high-fashion statement piece. The cohesive look was completed with belt buckle pumps from the same designer, adding a perfect finishing touch to their look, which not only highlighted their unique fashion sense, but also brought attention to the importance of sustainable practices in the fashion industry.
