Put down the Fenty and step away from the Rare; there’s a new celebrity beauty brand in town. Maybe. Blake Lively seems to be laying the social media groundwork for a new project in the beauty space, though nothing is confirmed yet.

The A Simple Favor and It Ends With Us star just started following an Instagram account called Blake Brown Beauty (more on that in a sec), and it follows her back. In fact, Lively’s is the only account the new page follows.

The only picture posted so far is the back of a woman’s head, and it looks a whole lot like Blake’s signature honey blonde hair. Does this mean the upcoming business is a line of haircare products? The avatar has a hexagonal logo that’s reminiscent of the branding for Blake Lively’s beverage lines, Betty Booze and Betty Buzz. So that’s a clue…

Now, yet another celebrity cosmetics line should come as no surprise, but you know what is surprising? Blake’s original last name is Brown! Yeah! I had no idea! According to, well, Wikipedia, she was born Blake Ellender Brown. I’ll give you a second to calm down after receiving this shocking news.

According to Wikipedia, Blake’s mom, Elaine McAlpin Lively, already had three kids with her ex-husband Ronald Lively, including Teen Witch star Robyn Lively, when she married Blake’s dad, actor Ernest Wilson Brown Jr. Instead of changing her name for a second time, Elaine stuck with Lively, and “Ernie” eventually changed his last name to Lively so that the family could all have the same last name, so Blake’s name changed, too. But yeah, for a time, her name was Blake Brown.

Obviously, fans went wild in the comments of the one post, speculating on what Lively—or whomever—might be selling and how much we’re all about to lose buying up every last product. The Blake Brown Beauty account didn’t caption the post, but did add the “shh” emoji in the comments. Kristen Bell, please explain using your Gossip Girl voice what is going on!
