If you’re having deja vu, that’s totally normal. For the second time in 2024, Emmy season is upon us, and for the first time ever, Selena Gomez made the list.

Because of the strikes of 2023, the ceremony for the previous year’s broadcast season was dropped in the middle of awards season at the beginning of this year, so now we’re getting another round of Emmys for this year. Does that make sense? Basically, The Bear won awards for its first season, and now it’s nominated for awards for its second season. And yes, the third season just dropped. Man, The Bear has a lot going on. Let’s go back to Selena!

She’s nominated for her work on Only Murders In The Building alongside both of her co-stars, Martin Short and Steve Martin. The Rare Beauty founder reacted to the news on Instagram, sharing her accomplishment with a simple tear-smile emoji.

Yes, we’re welling up, too! She’s been on television since she was a literal preschooler on Barney, and now she’s got an Emmy nom. Good for you, Selena Gomez, you go, Selena Gomez.
