Considering her tennis association with her film ‘Challengers,’ her newfound love for the sport after attending the Wimbledon finals, and her ambassadorial role for the sneaker company On, it’s no surprise that Zendaya embraced an on-theme look during the first weekend of the Olympics in Paris.
Following her sultry black gown at the pre-Olympic cocktail event, Zendaya’s next outfit was more literal as she delved into the archives to unearth a vintage white Jean-Charles de Castelbajac Spring/Summer 2008 playsuit from the ‘Sportacus’ collection. The circular red and blue pockets, along with green, black, and yellow piping around the neckline, arms, and legs, cleverly evoked the appearance of the Olympic rings.
While some may liken this terry cloth playsuit to a baby grow rather than a fashion statement, I have always appreciated Zendaya’s playful style. Styled with On sneakers and with her blonde hair swept up into a bun, she perfectly captured the sporty vibes of the occasion.
Zendaya’s look was a fun and nostalgic nod to both fashion and the Olympics, showcasing her unique ability to blend high fashion with playful elements, but did she sell the look to you?
