Danish ready-to-wear label Cecilie Bahnsen, known for its sculptural silhouettes with feminine details, has appointed Mie Marie Ejdrup as chief executive officer, effective Sept. 1. Ejdrup succeeds Kristine Hannah Loebner, who will step down from the role of managing director.
”The Cecilie Bahnsen brand is at a pivotal point with the development of our universe and international expansion. I am very excited and proud to welcome Mie to the business, allowing me to continue focusing on executing my creative vision and sustaining continuous growth,” said Cecilie Bahnsen, founder and creative director.
Ejdrup joins from the investment fund Pitzner Group Holding, where she most recently served as executive director of investments and advisory. Prior to that, she served as a manager of global business development at Pandora and worked as a consultant at Bain & Company.
The homegrown brand — which has pulled off hit collaborations with Asics and Suicoke and built a strong following, particularly in Asia — has been looking to fuel growth by strengthening its presence in the US market.
