Naomi Ackie joined director Zoe Kravitz for the London premiere of ‘Blink Twice’ at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square, where she made a bold fashion statement.
For this event, Naomi chose a Loewe cowl-neck dress from the Pre-Fall 2024 collection, featuring multiple draped panels that exuded both elegance and a forward-thinking fashion sensibility. This was a risk that paid off beautifully. The dress is not only a striking piece in its design but also perfectly aligns with Naomi’s apparent affinity for lighter tones for the premieres of this film. The fluidity of the draped panels added a sense of movement, while the minimalist colour kept the look sophisticated and clean.
If you’re experiencing a sense of déjà vu, it might be because Tracee Ellis Ross wore a shorter, multi-coloured version of this dress to the 2024 Billboard Women In Music event. However, where Tracee’s look fell short—due to the jarring mix of colours and an overdone makeup look—Naomi’s monochromatic approach soared. The dress, in one consistent hue, allows the intricate draping and sophisticated silhouette to take center stage, without the distractions of clashing colours.
That’s not to say the multi-coloured version doesn’t have its appeal. Loewe offers the dress in a striking combination of vanilla, terracotta, khaki green, and black on their website, which certainly has its own charm. However, Naomi’s choice to go with a single colour was wise, as it maintained the dress’s elegance while allowing her natural beauty and presence to shine through.
Her look was completed with Repossi Serti sur Vide ear cuffs and rings in 18k white gold, adding just the right amount of understated sparkle. The jewelry complemented the dress without overpowering it.
This appearance at the ‘Blink Twice’ premiere was a fashion win for Naomi following the photocall.
